In the movie, “The Matrix”, the Oracle repeatedly explained her purpose was revealing what truths you were ready to receive.  She said that no one could see beyond his or her choices.  You all have a choice.  You will all reap the benefit or consequence of you choices.  Romans 6:15-17 states “So, since God's grace has set us free from the law, does this mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! Don't you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master?

You see when we practice the Presence, we invite God into our lives and when He comes to sup and dine with us, everything that comes into contact with the Presence of God is improved or made whole.  My sisters and brothers, there is healing in the presence of Jehovah for God is Jehovah-Ropheka  also known as  Jehovah Rapha -- The Lord our Healer (Exodus 15:26).  When Abraham practiced the Presence he found Jehovah-Jireh -- The Lord our Provider (Genesis 22:14).  Joshua knew Jehovah-Nissi -- The Lord our Banner (Joshua 6:8) at the fall of Jericho.  And Paul knew El-Shaddai -- The God Who is Sufficient for the Needs of His People (2 Corinthians 12:9) when God told him “My grace is sufficient for you”.   The writer of Isaiah found in the Presence of the Lord, Jehovah-Shalom -- The Lord our Peace (Isaiah 26:3) where the writer proclaimed “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.”

As a rule, we won’t ask for help until we have exhausted all of our personal strength and resources.  It is no wonder why we spend so much thought and flights of fantasy mystifying and deifying rest.  We look towards the day that we all go to heaven where our weary souls can be at rest.  But I am come this morning to let you know that there is no resting place and heaven is the beginning and not the end of our spiritual journey.
